A bit about me

Hi, I'm Poh, your retreat chef.

In 2015, I made the decision to leave my corporate career and immerse myself in the spiritual culture of Ubud, Bali, where I spent several years exploring the region and nearby countries. During this transformative period, I pursued professional training at Ashburton Chef Academy and Bettina's Kitchen Academy. With over 5 years of experience working in restaurants, hotels, gastro-pubs, and diverse culinary settings, I have developed a versatile approach to cooking. After earning my BSc (Hons) in Food Studies, I deepened my commitment to sustainability by focusing on sustainable food practices, sourcing locally, and minimizing waste in my culinary processes. Today, I combine this understanding of sustainability with my culinary expertise to create bespoke, nourishing menus for retreats, ensuring they align with both the needs of guests and the health of the planet.
