A bit about me

I began working as a plant-based retreat chef in 2019 and have enjoyed working with many different hosts in venues around the UK ever since.  I get a real buzz from creating vibrant, varied and nutritious food so that guests come away from retreats feeling nourished and loved.

I'm very flexible in my approach to meals and am always happy to accommodate dietary requirements, however challenging they might seem. As someone who hasn't eaten meat for 44 years, it's important to me that nobody is made to feel 'different' at the dinner table because of their eating preferences or requirements.

I'm equally happy chatting with guests in an open plan kitchen or working discreetly behind the scenes.. it's your retreat and my role is to fit in with your schedule and guests. I'm very much able to think on my feet and tend not to be phased by last minute schedule changes - I understand that every retreat is unique and sometimes we just have to go with the flow.

Although primarily self-taught, I completed diploma courses at Demuths cookery school in Bath (2020 and 2023). I'm based in North Wales, where I host regular supper clubs in between my retreat jobs. When I'm not working, you'll find me enjoying long beach walks with my dog Blue.. or sitting in front of the fire, flicking through my favourite cookery books!
